There's an excellent article on Stephen Curry in this week's Sports Illustrated: the newfound celebrity he gained with his outstanding run in last year's NCAA Tournament, and the work he's putting in to move to point guard this year.
One passage worth noting:
A week after the loss to Kansas, the 11 returning players composed a five-page manifesto -- titled Let's Get Better -- in which they spelled out their off-season plans to improve their skills, diets and academics.Couple of observations:
- Don't think last year was a fluke. And don't be surprised of Davidson is back in the Elite Eight this year.
- If you guys are serious about that "diet" thing, I can help. Randy Bird, the sports nutritionist who works with the current NCAA champs -- outlined the Jayhawks' diet and nutrition program for About College Basketball last spring.
