According to the report, pieced together from a number of reports obtained by the "Worldwide Leader," Dozier scored a 1260 out of 1600 on his first attempt at the SAT, a score which placed in the 76th percentile for verbal and 89th for math. That didn't jibe with his PSAT results -- which placed in the fourth percentile -- or his high school GPA. The Educational Testing Service offered Dozier a chance to re-take the exam -- and on take two, his score dropped by 540 points.
That, an anonymous letter from a person claiming to be on the staff at his high school, led the University of Georgia to refuse Dozier admission.
Dozier went on to land at Memphis, where he was a key player on the 2008 Final Four squad.
The Memphis administration is expected to appear before an NCAA committee on June 6 to answer the charges believed to center on Dozier's teammate Derrick Rose. Initial statements by the university have denied any wrongdoing and claimed there was no evidence to suggest that any player had cheated on the SAT.
Looks like they might not have looked hard enough.
