Cavs Owner Pushing for Cleveland Casino
The city of Las Vegas has been pushing for an NBA franchise for years. But the league is torn; they'd love to be the only pro sports league in town, they have a long and well-established footprint in the city thanks to the annual summer league, a number of USA Basketball events and the 2007 All-Star Game. But especially in the wake of the Tim Donaghy scandal, David Stern and company are deeply concerned about the league being associated with gambling.
Makes you wonder how Stern feels about Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert's involvement in an effort to bring casino gambling to Cleveland.
