All-Star Game Draws Record Crowd

Over 108,000 fans watched Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and the Eastern Conference win last night's all-star game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The official attendance figure was 108,713 -- a record crowd for a basketball game.

Wade scored a game-high 28 points and took home MVP honors. James had 25. Carmelo Anthony scored 27 to lead the West.

In a nod to the hometown fans, Mavs star Dirk Nowitzki replaced the injured Kobe Bryant in the starting lineup. That left the West in a rarely-seen "one guard, four forwards" set to start the game, with Steve Nash feeding Nowitzki, Carmelo Anthony, Tim Duncan and Amar'e Stoudemire. The East's lineup was a bit more conventional, with Atlanta's Joe Johnson replacing Allen Iverson (personal reasons) in a starting five that also featured Wade, James, Kevin Garnett and Dwight Howard.
