The first big player move of the free agent season may be falling into place today. Several Internet reports indicate that the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors have reached agreement on a sign-and-trade deal that would send Chris Bosh to South Beach in exchange for Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmers and Joel Anthony.
Acquiring Bosh via sign-and-trade could be the first step towards assembling a so-called "dream team" that would also feature LeBron James and Dwyane Wade... but unnamed scouts have suggested that Pat Riley may be backing off that plan and looking instead to add a shooter like Boston's Ray Allen to the mix.
UPDATE: Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld reports that Anthony has not yet signed a deal to return to the Heat, and therefore, the deal as reported cannot be final at this time. Of course, that doesn't mean Miami and Toronto aren't talking.
