The polls have been open for a little over a week, but I just got around to voting for the 2013 NBA All-Star teams.
I guess I'm one of those "undecided voters" I heard so much about last month.
In the East, my ballot features one Knick, one Net and three players from Miami. (Guess which three...) I don't love the idea of the three Heatles starting for the East, but I have a hard time coming up with someone more deserving of the third frontcourt spot than Chris Bosh. (Brook Lopez and Tyson Chandler would be the likeliest candidates.) And while guards like Rajon Rondo, Jrue Holiday and Brandon Jennings are off to excellent starts, it's hard to imagine any of them winning a spot ahead of Dwyane Wade.
In the West, I'd love to find a place for a Memphis player; the Grizzlies have been one of the top teams in the league to this point. But would you take Zach Randolph over Kevin Love, or Marc Gasol over Dwight Howard? OK, maybe the extreme basketball nerds would consider Gasol over Howard, but you can bet the fans won't.
Voting runs through January 14th, with the starting lineups to be announced on TNT on January 17th.
