Hasheem Thabeet

Thabeet was an absolute game-changer for Connecticut, dominating the paint for Jim Calhoun's Huskies for three seasons. If he had stayed in school for one more season, Hasheem Thabeet would likely have shattered the all-time Division I record for blocked shots.

Thabeet is no lumbering paint-clogger -- he possesses remarkable athleticism and speed for someone his size. He often beat smaller players up the court on the break, and was able to play good defense all the way out to the three-point line. But he's very raw -- he has very few low-post moves on offense, and he frequently struggled when matched up against players that weren't intimidated by his size (like Pitt's DeJuan Blair.)

NBA Player Comparison: At best, Thabeet's career could mirror that of another African import, Dikembe Mutombo. At worst, he could end up as a limited shot-blocking specialist like Samuel Dalembert.
