My other quibble with the ballot is the impossibly weak field at Western Conference center -- a grouping that seems intended to hand the position to Yao Ming, whether or not he actually plays more than 20 minutes a game this season. I would have liked to see Pau Gasol or David Lee or Al Jefferson or Tim Duncan -- or all of the above -- listed as centers, which would have created more room for a deserving forward to make the roster.
The ballot was put together by a panel of NBA media members, including J.A. Adande (ESPN.com), Marv Albert (TNT), Art Garcia (NBA.com) Marc Spears (Yahoo! Sports), Doug Smith (The Toronto Star) and Ian Thomsen (Sports Illustrated).
