From the article: TSN's 50 Greatest Coaches
A panel assembled by The Sporting News named UCLA's John Wooden the "greatest coach of all time" -- ahead of legends like Vince Lombardi, Casey Stengel and Phil Jackson. Agree? Disagree? Who tops your list of all-time greats? Who is the greatest?
Fremont Golf Coach, Fremont, IN
- I know we are talking about the pros and college coaches, but when you talk about a coach that has taken the talent he has, no move ins, no recruits, and small school and win 80% of of his boys and girls matches...he's a winner. He got his players to dream big and believe they could compete against anyone, and that carried over into our lives as adults. He cared about his players as much off the course as on...Hall of Famer from Indiana.

It's Wooden
- There really shouldn't be any argument here. What John Wooden did at UCLA is absolutely incredible and will never, EVER, happen again. A back-to-back is the closest thing we'll ever see to that. Alos consider the state of UCLA basketball when Wooden arrived there. He brought that program from the ground up and was able to bring in the best players.

GREATEST COACH
- PHIL JACKSON he is the greatest coach of michael jordan . He is very astute and very determined to win for his team and for his gameplan. You can see his passion for the team and for his team. You can see how he deals with weakest players and strongest players. He is vital to his team and to his star players.

Gibbs and Landry
- Two of the greatest coaches I ever saw in action were Joe Gibbs in the 70's (NFL - Redskins) and rival Tom Landry (NFL- Cowboys). Any game where one or the other (and boy, were voices raised when it was Redskins vs. Cowboys!) had their teams on the field, it was a definite gotta-watch.

Bob Knight
- In my humble opinion, Bobby Knight. Is there anyone else?

Coach K Got the Shaft
- There's very little I detest more than the four letters D-U-K-E, but Coach K has had such success with both Duke and Team USA that he'd have to be top 10 for me. I think he loses out because his team do so well, you expect them to win every year. When they don't, somehow something is wrong in Dukieland. He also makes more without uber-talents than other guys on the list. He never had, say a Jordan, Shaq and Kobe on his teams.
