12 Man squad for 2012 Olympics
- The team should be a mix of good point guards, pure scorers/shooters, and big men and defensive/rebounding. Tie breakers on close calls are age/experience and trying to combine teammates where possible. Guards: Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Kobe Bryant, Russell Westbrook, Dwyane Wade Forwards: Carmello Anthony, Kevin Durant, Lebron James, Kevin Love, Lamarcus Aldridge Centers: Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum Notable omissions: Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin, Chris Bosh, Tim Duncan, Paul Pierce. I don't think Duncan or Pierce want to play, 2 Heat players on the squad is enough. The team has enough dunkers/slashers, Griffin can play in 2016. Rose is a tough leave out, but CP3 and D-will are better ture PGs and better outside shooters and Westbrook is too good to leave off the squad. - Ok so.....I think cp3, kobe, deron williams, melo, lebron, bosh, wade and howard will return to the team because they were on the 2008 gold team. They are all still all stars in the league to this day too. So that's 8 players. The next 4 will be....kevin durant #1. He was the mvp of the 2010 fiba games. He is an extreme offensive threat that is hard for anybody to stop. Kevin love will be good select because his defense will be good for our team because of his rebound stats and he is also a very good scorer too. D Rose will be a lock too. He was the 2010-2011 nba mvp and he is an unstoppable guard. He is one of the quickest players in the league and with him attacking the rim at anytime he wants is a must. He can play both guard positions too. I want blake to be on the team..which he will probably be on but I would like to have westbrook and andre Ig on the team but that's a hard choice because they both play there positions good. I don't know who to pick out of them.
