Readers Respond: Is Allen Iverson a Hall-of-Famer?

From the article: Allen Iverson
He's a four-time scoring champion, a Rookie of the Year and a Most Valuable Player who led a seriously flawed team to the NBA Finals. But he clashed with coaches, pouted when asked to come off the bench, and his attitude about practice is very well-documented. Does that add up to a hall-of-fame career? Does Allen Iverson belong in Springfield with the all-time greats of the game? Your Vote?

Hell Yea!

Yes

With no doubt a top 50 player and HALL OF FAMER He did everything besides win a slam dunk contest a championship ring and if he was ever surrounded with a young in his prime center he would have a ring for sure.

He has to be

The hall of fame is about in-game performance, this made high definition clear with the induction of one Dennis Rodman. Not only did A.I. keep a franchise that decided to trade away any high level scorers during his time there, but he managed to dominant offensively while being the defenses focal point at only 6'0" tall. And for good measure he got his fare share of assists, and steals per game.
—Guest elimack

No doubt

He had one of the best cross overs in the game! He even did it to the best M J. I mean he is flithy! Rajon Rondo is the next Allen Iverson Though.
—Guest SirLJ GetMoney

always

No one will ever be better than ai he is and always will be my favorite player ever
—Guest sa

Come on, whats your question about that!

Is A shame to see him go like that. teams have money to sign nate, bibby and wherever and noone wants him. i dont trust Stern 4 sure!!
—Guest Wade3

Against all odds, yes.

The nba hated him for being himself. He even said it himself, when he finishes his carreer he wants to be able to say he did it HIS way. His passion for the game is something to look up to. Play all your games as if they are your last. Come on the nba should be about the beauty of the game, not about someones personality. Iverson makes the game look beautiful and that's all that mattera to me.
