From the article: The NBA's Worst Owners
Who is the NBA's worst owner? Donald Sterling of the comically-inept Clippers? James Dolan of the over-priced, under-performing Knicks? The notoriously cheap Robert Sarver of the Suns? Someone else? Who tops your list?
Worst Owner
- I think James Dolan has to be the worst. While Donald Sterling has a worse track record, playing for LA's second team is not nearly as appealing a destination as NY for free agents, coaches and management. That's a major advantage, and it's mind-boggling that the rebuilding took this long and is still far from finished. Say what you want about George Steinbrenner and his propensity to fire and alienate management, but his desire to win titles is commensurate with the responsibility that comes with owning the sports' most visible franchise. Dolan is the antithesis of that - he kept an incompetent Isiah around because they were friends.

Must. Be. Sterling.
- I'm a Knicks fan. During the Isiah "Thompson" years I had to sit there wondering what blackmail material Thomas had on James Dolan that kept him the Knicks coach. What ridiculous rap did Thomas lay on Dolan that Dolan still believed in him. I've dealt with bad team after bad team for a few years now, which has convinced me that you can rebuild in New York because what they did instead has taken longer and was far worse. And yet, the track record in LA is worse. The Clippers have barely sniffed playoffs since the early 80s. That's simply horrible. From inept executives that ownership should have fired to poor management by ownership, this team is the laughing stock of all sports.
