- The laws in DC may be different than in NYC, but Plaxico Burress got two years for having an unlicensed weapon. Seems to me this is another chance to make an example of someone who thinks he's above the law. I'm fine with gun ownership so long as it's responsible. When it's not, it's dangerous to the rest of us. Sorry, Gilbert. You acted the fool and now you have to realize there are consequences. The NBA can let him back in once he's served his time. Meanwhile, keep him suspended.
